Department of Physiology

Physiology is the study of how organ systems function in a human body. Our department has an excellent infrastructure and highlights itself by having faculties who are recognized, talented and encouraging who exhibit their talents at intra and inter departmental teaching activities. We make the students understand the fundamental and basic concepts concerning with mechanisms in Physiology and to integrate these learnt subjects to practice clinical medicine thereby helping them to become good and well trained medical professionals. Various research activities have been conducted in various fields by teaching faculty, Under-graduate and Post-graduate students.

Facilities in Physiology Department

Our facilities located within the Department include:

  • Our department has well equipped lecture gallery. We have fully equipped Amphibian and Mammalian laboratories, Haemotology lab, Human and clinical physiology lab to serve the teaching and research needs of both students and faculty.
  • The department has a seminar room, demonstration rooms, P.G. Research lab and museum. Our departmental library has numerous books for the use of staff and students.
  • Our department has well developed neurophysiology lab. We serve the needs of the patients by doing various neuro diagnostic tests such as BERA ( Brain Stem Evoked Response Audiometry), Nerve conduction studies, visual evoked potential and P300.
