Department of Pathology
The department was established in the year 1965 and expanded subsequently to cater to the education requirement of Undergraduate and Post-graduate courses as well as diagnostic services. Currently the department offers diagnostic facilities for various branches like Hematology, Histopathology and Cytopathology all under one roof. Immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, interoperative consultation by frozen section analysis and coagulation studies are some of the specialized services provided by the department. Bapuji Blood bank with components separation unit and central diagnostic laboratory are also affiliated to the department. The rich academic expertise of the faculty with the array of diagnostic material makes the department ideal hub for pursuing post-graduate course.
